Glynn County Police Arrest One for Possession with Intent to Distribute

Darren Deaton of St Simons Island was arrested on 04/26/2017 on St Simons Island. A joint investigation between the Glynn Brunswick Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Waycross Police Department revealed a quantity of Marijuana was shipped from California to Mr Deaton on St Simons island. The Marijuana was discovered while in route to Mr Deaton by the Waycross Police. A controlled delivery was conducted to Mr Deaton of the marijuana. Mr Deaton was subsequently charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute, Driving on Suspended License, No Insurance and No vehicle registration. A quantity of U.S. Currency was also seized from Mr Deaton at the time of his arrest.
