The Baxley Appling County Chamber of Commerce held their annual Banquet Tuesday night. The following awards were presented:
Appling Christian Academy Star Student Hope Smith
Hope chose Jerome Granade as her star teacher
Appling County High School star student Hannah Hughes
Hannah chose Angela McClean as her star teacher
Excellence in agriculture award went to Charles Davis and the 2016 citizen of the year is Ronald Burkett.
The out going president’s award was presented to Perry White.
The speaker for the evening was Representative Brooks Coleman.
He did a great job entertaining the group with his humor and motivational message.
